Welcome to Breckon Hill Community Centre.
We were purposely built in February 2004 to support both local residents and the wider community with the opportunity to gain new skills and increase social interaction within a safe and friendly environment.
Located just a short walk away from the town center, we offer a variety of services, courses and facilities tailored to our local community. These include:
Venue Hire – All our facilities are available for meeting, training and conference hire. We are also entirely based on the ground floor, with excellent disability access and free parking on site.
Training Courses – Every week we offer a variety of training delivered in the centre by a range of partners, offering a high standard of both vocational and accredited courses.
Café and Catering – The Lunch Box community café is open Monday to Friday and provides quality freshly produced hot and cold meals and refreshments, using Halal meats. We can also provide internal and external catering upon request.
Support Services – We can assist with clients looking for work, offer admin and IT support, hand out food vouchers, provide advice and help refer and signpost to external services who provide the same excellent service that we do.
Community Discussions – Every month we host drop-in sessions open to all where you can discuss or report any local concerns, as well as meet and talk to your local councillors.
Volunteering – We offer opportunities to be involved in the day to day running of our centre and a chance to help shape our future and provide you with experience in a busy social environment.
Youth Services – On a weekly basis we deliver a youth project aimed at 11 to 19 years old. The project encourages young people to socially interact in a safe and friendly environment. During each session there is a programme of activities which include music, sports, cooking and themed projects.
